On the occasion of Europe Day, on 9 May, all EELM students took part in workshops on the theme of Europe during a day that was set aside for the occasion. This day was rich in learning.
The kindergarten pupils discovered traditional European songs, shared knowledge about traditional costumes in Europe, exchanged on the similarities and differences in European alphabets using a range of tools and techniques to copy the graphemes.
The primary school pupils were able to deepen their knowledge of Europe through 8 workshops on the following themes: sports in Europe, board games on European languages, European anthems, European flags, making a stop motion film on the different European countries, European monuments (art workshop), music styles in Europe (discovery of the rhythms of Fado, Irish music, flamenco…), European geography.

In the afternoon, each class performed the songs they had learned on Europe Day.







Secondary activities
The secondary school pupils also took part in the event: S1 pupils worked on portraits of great European artists, S2 pupils conducted interviews with European political leaders and finally S3 pupils designed posters on great European scientists and athletes.
On this occasion, the secondary students also experienced a role-play of the European elections at the level of the 4 classes of S1 and S2.
